SALT, an exhibition of film, photography, painting and live performance will take place in East Gallery, Pikk Street, Tallinn from 17th to 20th March, 11pm to 6pm.
This exhibiton includes work from the curators/artists Jackie Askew and Maria Kerin
as well as Maeve Collins, Fergus Tighe, Fiona O’Dwyer and Fiona Woods
who have all referred to the sea in their creativity, connecting them to the theme of
Stories from the Coastline that Tallinn has chosen as City of Culture 2011.
There promises to be a very exciting Opening on Friday 18th at 7pm, not to be missed!
The Exhibition will be formally opened by the Irish Ambassador to Estonia, Mr.Peter McIvor, followed a singing performance by Maeve Collins.
Fergus Tighes’ feature film Seaside Stories… will be shown for free from 20.15 to 22.15.
Maria Kerin will create a durational performance throughout the evening, including dance, drawing and photography with audience participation using salt and chalk.

English subtitles are on the film and comfortable seats available so large groups of children and students are welcome- freee showings at 11am, 12.45pm 2.15pm and 4pm daily.
